First off, you can tell this is Steve when there is a post without pictures. I am not as blog savvy as a certain young lady in our household.
Matthew is sick. Around 4pm he started throwing up. Poor guy. He threw up a few more times and then was exhausted and went to sleep. Then he continued ralphing every 15 minutes or so for the next few hours. So, at this moment, Jaz and Matty are at Methodist getting him checked out while I am at home with the baby.
There are few things more painful in life than watching your child deal with sickness and not being able to do anything of substance for them. He cried every time he threw up, saying his tummy hurt. I could calm him and hold him, and give him some medicine, but there was a limit to what I could do to help him until whatever was in his tiny little stomach worked its way out. How I wish I could take his stomach bug from him and suffer for him!
How then must our Heavenly Father feel for us when we are struggling with Spiritual sickness! That is the beauty and the hope that the Gospel brings - that our pains and illnesses are only for a short time b/c we have the Savior. He will lift our burdens, and will heal our spiritual stomach bugs. There are no words to describe how blessed we are to have that knowledge, and to be able to go to Him to be healed.
May we all remember that, and remember Him.

I'm sorry about Matthew! I didn't realize it was that bad when you came last night! I'm glad he seemed to be doing better today! I hope you all get some rest today!
And I always love your spiritual posts Steve!
What a sweet Daddy you are! It is so hard when the little ones are sick!
Wow, is he ok then? I would love to have an update to know what's going on. Well, I hope he gets better soon and that nobody else gets whatever it is!!
