New Year's HOE-DOWN!

Ringing in the NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year 2008! -We were the boring couple who didn't dress up.
EDITOR'S NOTE: this is a party of our friends from the Carrollton 3rd ward, so this is a glass of that apple cider stuff.

The men, doing their best Marlboro Ad.

Will managed to squeeze into size 30 jeans!

Will and Steve doing a Do-C-Do.

Olivia: "Help me!!"

This picture is PRICELESS!-By the way those butts belong to: Mike and Sherri Hofhiens!

PARTYGOERS!

Our party planners and hosts, The Spriggs - Will and Kamie.

The Fowers - Jed and Michelle, who is also our former pediatrician and crafty guru.

The Breinholts, Ken and Allison - aka the mom who has it together!

Our bestest friends in the whole world, Paul and Shanna.

The Hofhiens. If the last name sounds familiar, it is because Mike is Marc Hofhiens' brother! They don't look alike but they sure sound the same!

This years New Year party was so much fun! Our friends the Spriggs (Will and Kamie) always plan a New Year's theme party and it never disappoints! This year's theme was a Texas Hoe-Down. Last year's was 80's and the year before that was 70's. We always dress up, but this year we were feeling really lazy for some reason. Anyway, we had lots of fun and also took Olivia that night because my mom and little sister wanted to take Matthew with them to my stepdad's New Years party and they always have a pinata and tons of kids, so we knew Matthew would just love going. In fact Matthew was out until 3am! He stayed up all night new years day and crashed all day the next day! And he's only 3 years old!!! Can't imagine what he will be doing at 17! Ok, back to the Hoe-down...so we had Texan food and a mini Country line and square dancing lesson, courtesy of the Carrollton local library. Will rented 2 old 80's country dance "lesson" videos to teach all the party-goers how to properly dance at a Hoe-Down. We had too much fun and were acting pretty silly, so much so that I wish I could say I was a teenager, or something and not a mother of 2 kids! With that said, here are some silly pictures for your viewing pleasure. I'm still debating on whether or not to post those silly videos...might be too embarrassing for me and a few other people...but we will see. In the meantime, enjoy these pics!

Holy Cow you guys have been busy! You have like 3 christmas posts!! That is pretty cool, lots of presents :) You guys are partiers! New Years Eve, we were in bed by 11! I'm getting so old!! But it's got to be nice to have all family in one city that is not in the same one as where you are living, right? I'm one for living away from everyone, get some space!
