Holding the Fort

Jaz is in Chicago. Her sister lives there. So does Oprah. What a remarkable trio.

I am protecting our house while she is away. A few random observations:

- I only have to do dishes every 3 or 4 days. It's weird not doing a load in the morning and another at night.

- I thought about leaving the toilet seat up as a show of man power, but then I was afraid of getting into that habit and getting in trouble when Jaz comes back. So I am being a wuss and leaving it down.

- I woke up with my alarm on Sunday morning. It's funny b/c normally Matthew comes into our room real early to tell us to wake up, and I sleepily tell him to go watch tv (yes, bad parenting on my part). But I don't like sleeping a little longer. It's not the same.

- I made a pasta with meat sauce that lasted me 6 consecutive lunch/dinners. Amazing efficiency.

- Studying from 7am to 10pm each day isn't as bad as I anticipated.

- I think my self-esteem is lower than this time last week b/c I have not had a certain little gibbonoid girl come running to the door when I come home.

- I have no idea if I am snoring b/c there is no one to tell me they had to hit me in the middle of the night.

- If you have something not quite right about your health, but you think it's too minor to see a doctor, now is the time to ask me since I am reading every single sign/symptom/outcome of every disease known to man.

- I thought it was interesting to read that the number one cause of conjunctivitis in newborns is actually a reaction to the medicine they give them to prevent conjunctivitis.

- Nothing makes home feel like home more than Jazmin Roselia, Matthew Steven, and Olivia Rose.

I know what you mean. When Michael goes on business trips, I'm always like "This looks like our house, but it doesn't FEEL like our house." Also, kudos on the dishwashing and meal preparation. I think if I left Michael alone, I'd come back to find a skeletal hand sticking out of a pile of dishes, trash and dirty clothes.

Awww...aren't you sappy! jk Glad to hear you are doing well. It's always hard when the fam is not home even if you have something to distract yourself. Have fun studying!

Uncle Bo Bo, we feel so bad for you. Ya' know when Devan and Maleah left for a week (Carys was still cookin') I ended up making a big set of shelves to pass the lonely time. Stay Strong!
Oh , and I have this funny rash.. ha ha .. just kidding.
