Almost Done!

As many as you know, I don't do cooking. But because I would like my children to be kept alive and my husband somewhat fed, I have started to do simple meals that I have gotten from many of my talented cook friends. As soon as I started doing small cooking, I kept gathering more and more recipes. I found myself not being able to keep them all organized. I love to have things organized! LOVE IT! I dream about having my pantry all in jars with labels on them! Drawers always have to be neat! OCD? Maybe. But that's the way ah-huh, ah-huh, I like it! So, I decided to do the old recipe box thing, but with a twist! Not only do I like things to be neat, I also like them to be cute! So, with the help of a free site called SCRAPBLOG I made my recipe cards on photo paper, and digi scrapbooked them all to look like this:

The cards are 4x6 just like pictures, and are CHEAP to print out. I printed out several copies of the recipes so that if I ever have people over for dinner and they like what they ate, I can just hand them over a copy of the recipe and they can put it up on their fridge. Also, having them online helps with archiving them...and if I ever lose one, I just head over to the computer and print out another copy. I got a cheap dollar store recipe box in which the recipe cards fit in perfectly, and I will modge podge with coordinating paper to tie it all in! Hence the "almost done" part! I will post a picture of it all once my recipe box is all spruced up! Now I only need some of those recipe holders with the metal stand for them! Anyone know where to get one? Maybe I need to wait for another SUPER SATURDAY...

Jazmin

P.S.
That is a real recipe on the card. I wanna thank Louise Walch for the banana bread recipe!
