THE BEST DAY EVER!

Here at the Gibbons house, Spongebob is like our 3rd child. We LOVE that cartoon! Today was such a perfect day that I actually thought of that episode of Spongebob where he sings about what his best day ever would be. I didn't really know what I would consider my best day ever, but today might have just been that. It wasn't like we did something totally AWESOME, it was just a nice morning with plenty of sunlight (light just makes me happy). Steve signed us up to clean the church, so today we all got up and got ready to go clean the church. Matthew took his little legos, Olivia took her barbie doll, and we went to clean. We got to the church, rolled up our sleeves, and went to work. It was so nice to do the work and finish up. I totally felt like I started my day on the right foot. Just being at church made me feel happy & calm (can you say, the Spirit?!). Then we left and got some lunch and went grocery shopping. I loved being with the kids and Steve. It has been awhile since we just took our time to do things. It's always me & the kids or him and the kids. It was a nice change to be together and not have any place to be except with each other. After we ran errands we got home, cleaned up and relaxed (so nice!). Later we decided that I needed some skates (have been asking forever!) and Steve took me to TARGET and got me some skates - and we again went outside with the kids to play! It reminded me of when I was little in Mexico just outside playing with my cousins. Dinner was again, amazing! All together sitting at the dinner table! I really love being able to spend time as a family, it really made me reflect on how much we have grown, how far we have come & how our life will change in a matter of 5 days. YES, in only 5 days we will find out where we will be moving to for the next 5 years! I'm soooooo excited, nervous, and scared, but sooo totally excited! I have too many emotions, and I can't help to want to know what is going to happen next! Still, today I was reminded that I have a wonderful family, and that I trust Heavenly Father to know what is best for us. I'm so glad I stopped to smell the roses today. By far, the best day EVER!

Those are the moments you want to remember forever! You did a good job by blogging about it because then you can print it and put it in a journal. Being married to a Doctor is hard so, when days like this happen it's rare and you should always enjoy each day you have together. (and I'm glad you did!!)
