Fun Time's with the Gibbons and Sabins!!-- sound's like a sitcom..

We had our family come down to visit from Dallas for a 4 day vacation. The fun train arrived at 8 pm on Wednesday and brought with it Steve's mom and dad (aka grandpa and grandma), Jennifer and Jeff (aka Bob) and Tristen (4 years old) and Sydney (2 years old) (aka Jen and Jeff's kiddos). We had Jen, Jeff and their kids stay in our apt. while the "rents" got themselves a hotel room. It was really fun having everyone over...we had things planned for each day they were going to be here but of course, it doesn't matter how much you plan if the weather decides not to cooperate. Take Thursday for example - we had Sea World on our agenda and it looked like it was going to rain, we went ahead and went and let me just say that it gave new meaning to the the word - WATERPARK- we got soaked!!! Matthew was so confused! we never go outside when it's raining, I don't even let him out to the porch to play and then here we all are walking in a foot of water in our ponchos! Thankfully Olivia stayed with grandma' -grandma was the smart one to stay home. Oh well, it makes for a good story. The next day we decided to do the Wildlife Safari. If you haven't done it yet, do it!! It's fun for kids and adults alike! Basically you drive thru and feed animals. They have zebras and emus and just ton's of stuff. We had fun and the day turned out to be really nice. Highlites (sp?) of the day were we got attacked by an EMU, and saw some cool deer. Matthew had fun throwing food out the window and feeding animals. It's weird but all the animals are so used to people they just come up to your window and eat from your hand! Fun stuff. Later we played games with family and the kids were so wired we decided to take them to Peter Piper Pizza where Tristen and Matthew played a friendly game of air hockey.--aah, so nice competitiveness hasn't kicked in.-- Anyway, we did Sea World again on Friday, this time it was a succesful 90 degree day.. and Saturday we chilled. It was really fun and got us all really pumped for the Holidays!! There were so many funny kid moments that I just could't fit them all here but some that I recall are Matthew calling Jeff, Bob. He just felt that name suited him more or something, he just kept calling Jeff, Bob the whole time they were here. Another one was Sydney and Tristen just loving on Olivia. Tristen and Syd wanted to take Oliva home. And they were really serious about it, very sweet kids. Anyway, here are the pics, I will post more later, I just took so many that these were the one's I narrowed down that show how our weekend went down. Enjoy!
