A NEW DAY.....

We have a new president ya'll! I'm excited to see what he has to offer. I must admit that I knew that he would be the one winning this crazy election, and how could you not?! I mean, with all the star power and biased coverage, it was no big surprise! Still, the reason I kind of don't mind him is because he is black. Let me explain; It's a HUGE day in American history to have an African American be elected as President. I think this is a step in a positive direction. Americans have overlooked race... hopefully religion and gender will be next. I would love to see Mitt Romney run in 4 years and actually have a chance; I would love it even more to have a woman president in my lifetime. Anyway, I loved McCain or (McGrampy), but I will be a good American and support our new president.

BTW, Matthew came home from school and as part of their social studies they talked about the election and candidates...and they "voted" for who they thought would be a good president by raise of hands. When I asked who he voted for, he said; "Bark Obama." Even my son was brainwashed!!! JK! Kinda!

New Day!

I am totally with you. I voted for McCain, but I even sat at the dang computer thingy not sure who to vote for. I was going to go with whoever's name Nathan could say better, but than I would have voted for Obama. I guess for me it came down to what Obama said about abortion, but even that wasn't all that important because I don't think abortion will ever be changed. Anyway, good job for voting at least. That in itself is a good accomplishment in this day in age. By the way, I tagged you on my blog.

Did you see the coverage of people all over the world celebrating! It's truly amazing to know that, for most people out there, race is no longer an issue. It's just a shame it took us so long to get there.

What a great attitude you have. I loved this blog. It made me realize how important unity is. Way to be so possitive. (PS I loved the comment about Matthews voting choice, hehe)
