YEY! They did it! And Steve didn't pass out!
Two weeks ago we drove to Tyler for a half marathon that Steve's dad had been training for. Notice I said, "Steve's dad was TRAINING for." Steve decided he was going to run the half marathon but NEVER trained for it! Yeah, so the family went up there: sister Jen sustained a knee injury in training that forced her out of the race, and cousin Nadine was prepared to run but got sick 2 weeks before the race and the doctor told her she couldn't run 13 miles...but she did do a 5k! Anyway, the family was there to cheer them on! Nadine made a funny poster about Steve's training regimen or lack thereof! All in all, it was a good day, and Grandpa Gibbons and Steve finished the race in just under 2 hours! CRAZY! ;) I hope Matthew and Olivia inherit their athleticism! Because if they're anything like me, the only marathon they'll be running is RE-RUN MARATHON! Gotta love the Cosby Show ones!
