Lazy Sundays!

Olivia ate most of her dough before we even started playing with it! Also, notice the small eye on Olivia? she woke up with gunk in it! poor girl...

Matthew really liked mashing & spreading his play dough!

A New Year means a new time to go to church. Our church time is 1pm. And it stinks for Olivia since it is right at her nap time! The other day though, we had to pick Steve up from the airport (he was coming back from his last interview) and he arrived at 3pm. Matthew woke up with a cold & Olivia had somewhat of a pink eye, so we decided to skip church until the kids felt a little better. I don't like skipping church for several reasons. #1: I like taking the Sacrament. #2: Olivia & Matthew enjoy nursery & primary. #3 There is something for them to do in the afternoon when you just want to relax & they want to play but can't because they are sick! We had a whole morning & part of the afternoon with NOTHING to do! So, I remembered what my friend Ashley Clark had done with her hubby & cute kid one rainy afternoon. PEANUT BUTTER PLAY-DOUGH! It was the perfect thing to do! I had the kids keep their playdough separate to avoid transferring germs, it was safe indoor activity that was lots of fun! Matthew loved doing this! this is the kind of thing that really gets him in touch with his creative side. He even ate most of his dough! After that they washed their hands & fell asleep. This is how I know Matthew is sick. He naps. It was so nice. I recommend doing this when rainy outside! loads of fun!

Recipe for PB play-dough:

1 1/2 c. peanut butter
3/4 c. powdered milk
3 tbsp. honey

Mix all ingredients together. Form playdough into shapes. After you play with it. Eat it!

Thank you for sharing such a delicious recipe! Seeing that our boys' main staple is bread and peanut butter, this should fit right in!

I am totally making this tomorrow! I didn't know that there was edible playdough! Olivia's party turned out really cute too. My girls are obsessed with ponies right now.
